Dr. Rita Twan, DDS

Education, experience and approach
Dr. Rita Twan is an endodontist with experience in root canal treatment, retreatment, endodontic microsurgery and dental trauma care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and completed an endodontics residency at NYU Langone Brooklyn.
Her training also includes a general practice residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she served as chief resident. She holds a Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from New York University.
Dr. Twan has worked with general dentists and other dental specialists to coordinate care for patients with complex treatment needs. Her background includes clinical teaching of postgraduate endodontic residents at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
